Below I have set out some things that you might want to get for the 6WeekSixPack Challenge. Some of them you will already have, some you can get for free and some will cost a bit of money. BUT DON’T worry. I am not going to ask you to go and buy lots of expensive equipment, what is the point of us doing all of this for free then? So below I listed the very basics things and stuff that won’t cost you much if you don’t have it anyway. I made sure that I designed most of the workouts with exercises that won’t require you to use much equipment if any. And if I do use exercise where you need equipment you could probably use some local house hold stuff or equipment free alternative exercise anyway. So don’t worry if you don’t have any of these but if you can get hold of them then it will definitely make your 6 weeks more fun and provide you with better results!
You don’t need heavy dumbbells. In fact I used a pair of 10kg (22lbs) dumbbells for all these workouts and that was more than enough. So depending how strong and fit you are, if you are male or female, get one pair of dumbbells of between 3kg (6.6lbs) to 10kg(22lbs). If you don’t have or can’t afford dumbbells then just get some plastic bags or even 2L Coke bottle and fill it with water or sand.
This 6 week challenge will be pretty much useless unless you are also on a good diet. Your results will depend as much as 70% on what you eat. That is a pretty big number and a clear indication that you must combine the powerful workouts we are going to give you with some form of good eating. You will need some way to tell the time as you will be doing many exercises for 30 seconds or 10 seconds instead of 10 or 15 reps. This is simply a technique that will make sure you never hit a plateau. Personally I love my GymBoss and the very first time I used it I increased ny total calories for that workout by 20%!!! It really comes down to the fact that you don’t need to look around at a clock but you just have this timer beeping at the intervals you set so that you can focus on pushing as hard as you can! We are not going to use these that much but there area one or two exercises where exercise bands will really help you get even better results. Exercise band are also great for people who don’t have dumbbells or who are not strong enough to use dumbbells. Yip, you will need some free space with a comfy surface. A TV room with a carpet will be perfect or a small room with some a exercise mat. You won’t need much space for these workouts but it is nice to have a room or a area where you just go crazy and really push without worrying about hitting a lamp or injuring yourself.
And that is pretty much it apart from also wearing nice comfy clothes and having a water bottle!
