How did you get into fitness/bodybuilding?

My life has ALWAYS revolved around fitness because of all the sports and physical activities that I was involved in. I was a Fitness/Health fanatic even before playing professional football for over six years. People (mostly agents and scouts) would always compliment my physique and encourage me to look into modeling and competing. So I decided to compete in a couple of fitness modeling competitions as they were a good fit for my physique and my personality. Shortly after, I won the 2011 REAL Fitness Modeling Competition and TKO’s Sports Brand “Model Of The Year”Award.

What is your eating plan like?

My diet/eating plan really depends on my career demands. When I have a fitness photo-shoot or competition scheduled then usually I am on a high protein/low carb diet. If I don’t have an event scheduled within months, I mostly stay balanced across the board. (300 grams carbohydrates / 300 grams protein) For my protein I consume mostly tuna, chicken, fish and protein shakes. My carb intake is mainly from yams, fruit, brown rice and veggies. I mostly eat lean and clean to stay prepared for a fitness shoots, workout videos, etc.

I can’t go without my Sherbet (ice-cream) and Sprite.

Here is my current workout broken down daily.

Monday- Heavy Leg Exercises

Tuesday- Biceps/Chest

Wed- 1 hour Cardio (treadmill) and Ab Exercises

Thur- Shoulder/ Back

Friday- Light Legs Exercises and 1hour Cardio

Sat- Triceps/Calf’s

Sunday- Off

What are your workouts like?

My workouts are very intense! I refuse to just go in the gym and push some weights just to impress everyone. Some people are impressed when they see others lifting a lot of weights. In my opinion…..that doesn’t make you a complete athlete, it just means that your strong. My workout consist of plyometric exercises like plyo push-ups super set with bench press.( 4 sets/ 15reps of 235lbs)

On leg days, I super set squats and squat jumps with 135lb bar across my back. Now that’s a workout, anything else is child’s play.

Famous fitness icon/bodybuilder you would most like to have coffee/protein shake with?

Definitely Arnold Schwarzenegger! No one can deny his physique and presence in the fitness/bodybuilding community. I would have to give him those well-deserved props and I would have a ton of questions to ask too.

What is the most challenging thing you deal with about consistently staying in top shape?

Honestly, there are no challenges for me to stay in shape. I eat, breath, sleep, teach and live fitness!

I always get compliments on my abs and chest, but I am very proud of my legs.

What is the biggest fitness (weight loss, work out, diet) myth you encounter in the fitness industry every day?

Eat less to lose more! Some people believe that if they only eat two meals a day, they will lose weight. That is HILARIOUS!

Top 3 tips for people who want to get in shape?

1. Write out a plan. (A goal properly set is half way reached.)

2. Follow through with what you wrote down.

3. Stay consistent to what you wrote down. (Don’t try to find a easier way or substitute……..even if the road gets tough!)

Your favorite ab exercise?

To get the complete ab package, you have to work all planes of motion. Reverse crunches and medicine ball wall throws are just some of my favorites….. but the list goes on.

What keeps you motivated to stay in shape?

Me, Myself and I. My motivation comes from within me. No one should have to push you to perfection, it should already be in your heart, mind and soul to truly obtain your well-deserved greatness.

Any final words of wisdom?

Don’t just talk about it…..Be about it! Anything in life is worth working for and waiting for. We all want results, but those results would be appreciated even more if you put the hard work in as well.

Hi Everyone!

Well we don’t normally do this but by now you know how close the last 6WeekSixPack Challenge was. The main reason was because the top two guys both just did so well that they could not be separated. So I thought why not interview them both. I mean, getting inside info and tips from another guy who also got really ripped in just 6 weeks is not a bad thing is it!? The more info we can get to our readers from guys like this, the better as far as we are concerned.

So below you can read the interview we did with Runner-up of the final 6WeekSixPack, Alberto!

What made you take part in the 6WeekSixPackChallenge?

A few months ago I didn’t feel very satisfied with my body. So surfing on the internet while I looked for fitness programs to develop sixpack abs, I found Sixpackfactory.com. The most pronounced thing on this website was their new “6weeksixpack Challenge” ( the very first one ) where they even paid a lot of money if you did the best body transformation. So I signed up and started with the program, but I got stuck in the middle of it and couldn’t finish because I’m a student and couldn’t organize my time correctly. BUT when I heard about the third version of the 6weeksixpack challenge, I didn’t hesitate one second and said to myself: “I’ll make it this time”.

What was the hardest part of the challenge for you?

The hardest part of the challenge was about working out on Saturdays. I personally like not doing any kind of work on weekends, but I had to. After a while I realized it wasn’t that bad, and actually started liking it because I fell awesome and unique (no one that I know works out on weekends) .

What was your eating like?

I want to start saying that I don’t think modifying your eating plan is an easy thing to do, especially when you are so used to eat the things you like. But believe when I say, it’s totally worth it. My eating plan changed a little bit: I started eating 5-6 meals a day with a 2,5 hours interval between them, I stopped eating any kind of chocolate, fast food, white flour based product, “healthy” labeled food that really isn’t, french fries and potato chips, etc. Basically everything I found on this article by Peter I stopped eating: http://www.sixpackfactory.com/5-foods-you-should-never-eat-if-you-want-six-pack-abs/ Oh I almost forgot, DRINK AS MUCH WATER AS YOU CAN (for me it was at least 3,5 liters a day).

How did you stay motivated throughout the 6weeks?

My main motivation started after the second week when I could see my 2 week transformation. I was just amazed with the change I could do to my body in only 14 days. After this, my motivation level exploded up and I started increasing my intensity on all the workouts.

What advice would give anyone else who want to achieve the same results you did?

If you wanna get six pack abs in six weeks, all you have to do it follow a fitness program that enhances the afterburn effect (like the 6weeksixpack challenge). Unless you are metabolically gifted, you have to do some changes in your diet habits. Leave all the food that’s too processed and focus on good healthy fresh foods. Organize your meals throughout the day and drink a lot of water. But the most important thing of all is Consistency and Commitment !

Which of the workouts were you favorite?

My favorite workout was the weight training during the 6th week of the program. I love how it makes you lift weights and do cardio one straight after the other. I was getting so pump I felt like I was going to explode!! This was awesome and definitely the week that I liked the most.

What is your favorite ab exercise?

My favorite ab exercise is the medicine ball jack knives. I love the workout you can get from this exercise. A complete and amazingly effective exercise for the whole abdominal area.

What are you going to do with your winnings?

I will definitely improve my fitness accessories at home. I really wanna get equipment to work out at home, so that way I won’t have to spend money on gym memberships.I wanna start my own youtube channel too, so that way I can teach a lot of people in my country (Chile) how to get six pack abs. I’ve told a lot of people about Sixpackfactory.com, but most of them don’t understand English at all (Spanish is the native language here), so I can take what I have learned and show it to people here in South America (that’s how far Sixpackfactory.com has gone!).

What has been your biggest accomplishment in the fitness field?

My husband Craig Bonnett (WBFF Pro Bodybuilder and Mr Manitoba 2006) and I have worked hard to develop our business, ContestPrep.com- an industry-leading physique consulting and online personal training business. We work incredibly hard to dream up new ways to motivate & inspire clients, including helping hundreds of athletes prepare for stage and even more general public clients reach their fitness goals. Both myself and my husband have accomplished so much in our personal competitive careers, however I am most proud of us for finding ways to share our knowledge, experience and network with others.

How did you get into fitness/bodybuilding?

Fitness is a passion that has taken over and changed my life in every way. As a teen, I replaced dancing with weight training on my own accord, and enjoyed the improvements to my body and self esteem. The gym became my sanctuary – throwing on my music and pumping out a killer workout is how I deal with stress. There have been difficult times in my life where I could be found there at 3 am! This passion became a sport for me when I had hit a plateau and needed a goal to help me take my physique to the next level. Learning proper dieting techniques while training for my first show likely saved me from developing an eating disorder (which is why I am so proud to share my knowledge now with other women through ContestPrep.com). The new information also corrected errors in my approach to exercise (such as too much cardio). When stepping on stage to win that first Fitness competition, ‘Jewels’ re-invented herself and finally discovered the right path in life.

What is a typical daily routine for you?

While training for my Ms Fitness Manitoba win, my day began with cardio, then I would head to my 8 hr fulltime position as a graphic/web designer, finish work and either go to my part-time training job or home to meet with ContestPrep.ca clients, followed up with my resistance training then either cardio, routine development or gymnastic class, THEN finally home to sleep! I always schedule myself with as much as I can fit – unfortunately leaving little downtime to relax and socialize, but I am great at multitasking so I thrive with a busy lifestyle. (When I began dating my husband, we moved in together within a month so we could see each other! I don’t recommend that, but it worked out beautifully for us.) Now, the success of my online physique consulting business has enabled me to work fulltime for myself, so my routine is different, but equally as busy. My day begins with either 1.5 hr outdoor or indoor bike ride (or rollerblading in warmer seasons), shower, eat breakfast and focus on ContestPrep.com clients. My professional bodybuilding husband and I enjoy our afternoon drive to the gym together in his Corvette (during Winnipeg summers at least!), stop by Popeye’s Supplements or the grocery store en route home, though a few days per week we head to see our athletic therapist Avi Walker at Victory Therapy & Sports Injury Clinic for treatment of any injuries and maintance to keep our bodies functioning at 100%. During most evenings we meet with local members of our training program for weigh-ins and re-assessments which encourage and inspire their progress and ensure our techniques are achieving results. We are night owls, so we are up working until 1 or 2 a.m. before winding down while watching The Late Night Show or Conan. If I am preparing for an event, I add a pre-bed cardio session for 30-60 minutes.

What is your eating plan like?

I admittedly eat low carb when dieting for a show or big photo shoot. Breakfast for this season has been chicken breast or lean beef with 3 eggwhites and Fusion Omega Oil. Meal 2 is pre workout, often a protein shake with Glutamend, SubQ and Purple K and veggies. (I snack on veggies as much as needed throughout the day.) I often take Purple K before my cardio sessions as well, feeling those bike workouts are killer for my glutes. I drink Fusion Agent M Powder during weight training, mixed with water. Meal 3 is immediately post workout – a protein shake (Magnum Chocolate) mixed in water with Glutamend. By the time I drive home, I’m starving, so I eat a repeat of breakfast for Meal 4. Meal 5 is salad with lean protein (ie: tuna, salmon, chicken, egg whites, basa, etc). Before bed every night I eat lean protein and take in fats such as Omega Oil or nuts. I believe food is the best supplement – there is no quick, over the counter fix for a bad diet. However there are certainly fantastic products that can help in addition to clean eating. I use CLA, BCAAs, Glutamend, Omega Oil, Pre-workout supplements such as Fubar, creatine (Purple K), SubQ at certain times of the year to help my fat loss and energy levels, protein powders, and ALWAYS incorporate a multivitamin to ensure my body has all the nutrients it needs.

One word to describe yourself?

DRIVEN

How did you get into fitness/bodybuilding?

I struggled a lot with my weight and body image throughout high school and college. I wanted a perfect, fit, toned body but I was completely lost on how to get it. I started working at a gym where I absorbed as much knowledge as I could on the subjects of training and nutrition. I decided to get certified as a Personal Trainer, and once I began training I felt as though I had found my calling in life.

As a trainer I wanted to inspire my clients and set a good example, so I decided to get into the best shape of my life by setting a goal to compete. I stepped on stage for the first time in April of 2010 and have been hooked ever since!

What is a typical daily routine for you?

I wake up at 7 or 8 AM and do morning cardio, then eat breakfast as I check e-mails and network. Next I head to the gym to train clients. I do my lifting in the early afternoon and then either train more clients or do a demo for Met-Rx. I sometimes do another cardio session in the evening, depending on my fitness goals at the time. When I get home I do a bit more networking and write programs for my online clients, and then relax and spend time with my boyfriend and kittens before going to sleep between 11 PM and midnight.

What is your workout plan like?

I usually train 6 days a week. My workouts are fast-paced and high intensity. For lifting I usually train 2-3 muscle groups each workout, doing a lot of supersets and tri sets. My coaches at Team Bombshell change my workouts all the time- different sets, reps, and exercises to keep my body constantly challenged.

What is the most challenging thing for you when it comes to staying in shape?

The most challenging thing for me to deal with is trying to balance a social life with my fit lifestyle. Pretty much every social event revolves around eating and drinking, so I used to feel very isolated when I would prepare for competitions. I’ve gradually learned how to still spend time with friends by doing activities that don’t revolve around food. I try to coordinate my cheat meal with social events so that I don’t feel like I am always missing out. I’ve also made a lot friends who are also into fitness… it really helps to connect with others who share similar goals and lifestyles.

What is a typical daily routine for you?

To be honest I don’t have one. Some days I wake up at 6am, some days I sleep at 6am. After I wake up I usually check some emails, reply to messages, workout (before or after I eat.. for fat loss or muscle growth), and then do whatever else is on the agenda for the day. I could be studying scripts all day, training clients, or trying to perfect some technique I learned. On my busiest day I’m usually up at 7, training clients until 12, hitting Muay Thai and strength and conditioning from 1 to 4, coming home to study some scripts, going out to work again until 3am, and then coming home and I might even watch a movie

What is the most challenging thing for you when it comes to staying in shape?

The diet is probably the most difficult thing to stick to year round. The hardest thing for me is to have to turn down invitations to parties or dinners because I am getting ready for a show. I try not to put myself in tempting situations so I will usually pass on these types of events. I feel guilty at times and I hope all my friends and family understand.

My glutes, I always had big glutes so I have to work really hard to keep them firm and tight .

What is the biggest myth you encounter every day in the fitness industry?

I would have to say the biggest myth I encounter everyday is that Bikini competitors don’t train hard. Lots of people think that Bikini girls are just skinny girls that put on a bikini and get on stage. I have done a series of workout videos showing my prep for the 2011 WBFF World Championships so people can see how hard these girls train. Our competition prep id just as intense as any other competitor in the industry!!!

My name is Sam Baker and I was born in good ol’ Mass. I was raised on the South Shore of Massachusetts where I have always been involved with sports and dance growing up, in school, as well as in college. I decided to further pursue my dance career and try out to become an NFL Cheerleader. I made the squad and was a Professional NFL Cheerleader for a number of years for the New England Patriots.

After Cheerleading I was very interested in the fitness industry and wanted to try to enter the arena of fitness modeling. I have been so lucky to be able to work with many amazing people and some of the best photographers out there and have been published in several fitness magazines and covers.

Just about two years ago I decided to also give figure competing a try and have loved every minute of it. I have placed first and/or overall in the local competitions that I have done and placed top ten or top fifteen in the two national shows that I have done. I intend to try again for the pro card this year as well!!

It has been through the love and support of my family and friends and by the grace of God that I have been blessed to have been given the opportunities that I have so far. I look forward to the future and working even harder than I ever have before to further my career in the fitness industry.

One word to describe yourself?

How did you get into fitness/bodybuilding?

I got into fitness/bodybuilding sort of because of my dad (he probably doesn’t know it though). I was always athletic growing up and danced throughout my entire childhood into college. The summer going into college I started working out in my basement every morning. I would see my dad workout every morning before work and just kind of decided I wanted to do it too From there it blossomed, I started seeing changes that I loved and getting more and more into it.

What has been your biggest accomplishment in the fitness field?

My biggest accomplishment in the fitness field would probably be getting published and seeing myself in the magazines and advertisements that I used to look at myself. Getting a layout in Ironman magazine was probably one of the highlights so far because that was always a legit fitness magazine that I would say I would love to be in!

What is a typical daily routine for you?

A typical daily routine for me when I am not traveling is pretty boring!! I right now am starting to do the gym twice a day again in prep for my show, morning cardio and then evening weight training. In between that I am either writing for one of the online magazines that I write for, figuring out where I will be next and making those plans, scheduling shoots and networking! Also grocery shopping, laundry and catching up on everything that I don’t get to when I am traveling

What is your eating plan like?

My eating plan consists of 6 meals. Depending on where I am in my schedule (prepping for a shoot or a show) 1 or 2 of those meals may be a protein shake but that gets replaced with food as I get closer to the event. Same goes for my carb intake, fat intake etc.

What food can’t you go without?

The food that I can’t live without isn’t actually a food but I guess more of a condiment…lol..I am obsessed with Lite Cool Whip haha!!

What keeps me motivated to stay in shape is probably first and foremost my fans!!!! Also progress keeps me motivated!!!
Top 3 tips for people who want to get in shape?

My top three tips for people who want to get in shape would be number one don’t get discouraged it will not happen overnight!!!!

Raised in Miami Fl. Chady Dunmore has had a love of sports and fitness since she was a child. By the time she was 12 she already got her black belt in taekwondo at the age of 12. By 16 she was already modeling professionally!

Fitness became a passion and after college and a successful modeling career Chady decided to move to California and tune her skills as an actress. By this time being a mother of a 4year old, she put her fitness skills to the ultimate test; having gained 70 pounds during her pregnancy she re-sculpted her body into a bikini fitness model.

She is currently gracing fitness magazine covers such as Fitness RX and Oxygen and is also a MusclePharm and Passion Fruit Bikini Sponsored Athlete, Author, Singer, and Mom. All this while still competing internationally and she is the 2010 Arnold Classic Bikini Champion and the 2010 WBFF Pro Bikini World Champion.

Her future goals are to continue to compete as a pro in bikini and defend her WBFF World Title in 2011, create a fitness/active wear line, publish her new book, complete her new album off the success of her current single “Work it Out”, and develop her career in hosting shows/events.

We had the extreme privilege to catch up with Chady and ask her a few questions!

My determination and hard work ethic helped me accomplish my goal of being in my best shape ever. This passion for a healthy lifestyle has become a newfound career for me. I hope that my drive will motivate others that it is not too late to get in their best shape ever and reach their goals to become a healthy role model as well.

In a short time, my rise in the Fitness Industry has landed me several great opportunities. I have been featured as Ms. August 2009 for World Physique Magazine, Oxygen’s January 2010 issue of Future of Fitness, Planet Muscle October 2010 Hot Body feature, and Physique Magazine March 2011 Feature Super Model. I have won several Figure and Fitness Model titles as well. My first competition in April 2009, I won first place in the South Ms. Classic Bodybuilding and Figure Show. Since then I have competed in several State as well as, National level shows including placing Top 10 at The Arnold Amateur and Jr. USA’s.

In the future, I look forward to continuing to compete and model. I hope one day to become a spokes model for a nutrition or supplement company. I hope to be a role model for other women that it is never too late to get in their best shape ever!

Determined

How did you get into fitness/bodybuilding?

At 35 I decided it was time to start working out. A trainer at my local gym approached me about training me. She later showed me the potential I had and introduced me into the world of competing. Within 4 months I had dropped my body fat from 31% to 10% and competed in my first Figure show. I won first in my class and overall and needless to say, I was hooked!

What has been your biggest accomplishment in the fitness field?

My biggest accomplishment has been competing on the National level this year. This has been something I have been working towards. I was very excited to place Top 10 in my first National level show!

What is a typical daily routine for you?

My daily life is a little chaotic with two children! I recently had a full gym built at my home to make it a little easier for me. I train weights and cardio in the morning, go to a local gym 3 days a week to box and do extra cardio in the afternoon.

What is the most challenging thing you deal with about consistently staying in top shape?

The most challenging thing I have to deal with on a daily basis is making the time to get all my workouts in without jeopardizing my family time! It is all about balancing everything.

What is your eating plan like?

I count my protein, carbs, fat and fiber. I like to precook my meals. This make it easy for me because, I always have something prepared when it is time to eat. I eat high protein and low complex carbs and fat. I also make sure I am getting enough fiber each day so that my body can digest all the protein I am taking in. I also like to get most of my protein from actual food sources and not shakes and bars.

What food can’t you go without?

Wow! This is a hard question…there are so many things I would love to not go without! When in competition mode, I can’t go without my oatmeal every morning! Feel like it is a pick me up energy source. I love to add cinnamon, brown sugar splenda and a few raisins or fresh blueberries…Yummy!!!

My workouts consist of one heavy upper body and one heavy lower body followed by a day of just cardio. I then follow up with a leg day, chest and triceps, and then a back and biceps day. I do incorporate cardio everyday.

What keeps you motivated to stay in shape?

When I first started this fitness journey, I can honestly say that it was for self-gratification. I did it because it made me feel so good about myself. Not only the way I felt but, the way I looked! I soon realized that it was not about me but, more about teaching my children a healthy lifestyle. Being a role model to them and others as well is more rewarding!

Famous fitness icon/bodybuilder you would most like to have coffee/protein shake with?

There are many I would like to have a coffee or shake with! Ava Cowan is one and I have been fortunate enough to be able to spend a couple of days with her! You know who ever it maybe, it shows you how real these famous athletes are. They are no different from any of the rest of us. Another one on my list is Kim Dolan. I just love her! She is so down to earth and such an inspiration to me! As a mother and in her 40”s she gives me the motivation that you can look as young as you feel.

Your own physical feature you are most proud of?

I would have to say my ABS! You can workout all day long but, if you don’t clean up your diet you will not have abs! My motto is “Abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym!” It is quite funny when I go to a show, and girls come up to me and say “I know you, you are the girl with THE Abs!” LOL

Secondly, you must evaluate your diet. Make a daily journal for a week of everything you put into your mouth. Sometimes people are surprise at how much and actually how badly they are eating. You must clean it up and be sure you are eating the right amount of protein/carbs/fats and fiber daily. You also need to be eating every 2-3 hours in order to keep you metabolism burning.

I would say one of the biggest fitness myths is your weight! I know for some who are trying to lose weight it is a good guidance, but I feel as though sometimes it is overrated! Especially for females, they sometimes feel that they must weigh a certain number. Every individual’s body is different and one weight may look good on one person and not another! Also in a fitness journey, I feel that each person should be taking measurements to get a better guidance of tracking their progress!

Rachel Ettinger is one inspiring multi-tasker! She defies the myth that fitness competitors and athletes don’t work. Rachel works full-time in sales, she runs a boot camp 3 days a week, also works one-on-one with clients as a personal trainer and certified fitness nutritionist AND is busy planning a fall wedding! I think she’s even coordinating and planning in her sleep.

Rachel became intrigued by the Fitness America Pageant’s on ESPN in the 90’s. She said to herself “I WILL compete by the time I’m 26”. Rachel went on to college at Penn State, moved to Virginia for a year, and eventually found herself in Florida.

Rachel began competing in 2005, when she was 26. She first competed in NPC Figure and placed in the top 5 of her class. She was hooked! She went on to train for fitness, her TRUE passion. While training harder for fitness competitions, Rachel found injury after injury. After going to several doctors, she found out that she had several herniated discs in her neck and was told that she couldn’t train as hard anymore. But that didn’t stop her…it inspired her!

As of result, Rachel sought her personal training certification through ISSA. She wanted to make sure she learned the proper form, and used it every day while training. She wanted to know more about the connectedness of the muscle groups and the various methods to achieve greater results.

One word to describe yourself?

Witty!

How did you get into fitness/bodybuilding?

After college, I got busy with “life”. I was working full-time and spending time with new friends. I wasn’t even working out regularly in the gym. I was what you might consider “skinny fat”. I was in sales, selling services to small businesses, when I met someone in the industry. He offered to sponsor me and get me started in the industry in exchange for some marketing/sales of his business. I started immediately with a personal trainer, and taking supplements, drinking protein shakes and eating 6 times a day. I stepped on stage for my 1st competition 13 weeks later, placed in the top 5, and qualified to compete at the national level. That was all it took to get me hooked!

What has been your biggest accomplishment in the fitness field?

It’s all about competing with yourself. I have continued to improve my physique time after time. In my opinion, this past competition at Europa Orlando April 2011 was my toughest, to date. I placed in the top 5 and I was VERY pleased with my performance. And honestly, I’ve done the majority of my own training these past few years. So I’m very proud of that.

What is a typical daily routine for you?

WOW! I usually wake up at 6am, and head to the gym for morning cardio. I work in sales from 8am-5pm. I have 4 one-on-one personal training session clients during the week, I teach boot camp 3 days/week, so there always something after work for a client/class. After that, I squeeze in another workout. Then I run my errands, grocery shop, tan, cook and get ready for the next day. Not to mention, plan the wedding

What is your eating plan like?

I eat every 2-3 hours and my body reacts best to low carb diets. If I’m good on my diet 6 days/week, I like to treat myself a meal over the weekend. During the week it’s usually:

Breakfast – 4 egg whites, 1 egg and 1/3 cup dry oatmeal

Mid-morning – Isagenix shake with 1 Tbsp almond butter

Lunch – 5 oz chicken breast, on salad with balsamic vinaigrette and ¼ avocado

Mid-afternoon – 3 oz chicken and low fat mozzarella cheese stick

Dinner – 5 oz chicken, ½ cup quinoa or brown rice and 1 cup veggie (zucchini is my favorite right now)

Snack – protein pudding – I like to mix a scoop of protein powder with a sugar free pudding cup

What food can’t you go without?

100 calorie popcorn bags and sugar free jello…you caught me

Eating habits of people around me. It’s hard to be friends with people that don’t’ compete and like to stay in shape too. So I surround myself with people like me

Top 3 tips for people who want to get in shape?

1) Eat clean – 70% of being in shape is proper nutrition…who wants to work hard, but waste the results on unwanted calories

2) Never give up – most people expect FAST results. It takes time…just when you mentally feel like you can’t do it any longer, give it another 2 weeks! I promise you, it’s coming

3) Surround yourself with people who support your goal – I think people are quick to say things like “you look great” and “you don’t need to diet”…why, I’m not really sure. Part of it is because they want to be nice and make people feel comfortable, but it doesn’t matter how THEY feel, it’s about how YOU feel. Surround yourself with people who help you stick to your goals, not sabotage them by telling you what they think you should hear.

bicycle abs – can be done ANYWHERE, anytime! Lie on your back, hands behind your head. Alternating left elbow to right knee, and right elbow to left knee, extending your legs out, keeping your toes pointed. Great work out for your entire abdominal group!
